Duke Of Wellington Inn- The Duke of Wellington is an ivy-clad traditional eighteenth century inn located in Danby, near Whitby. The hotel is an ideal base for exploring the Moors, Whitby and the coast. Built in 1732, the Inn was used as a recruiting post during the Napoleonic Wars. An iron plaque of the Duke of Wellington was recently uncovered on the outside of the building and has been mounted on the fireplace in the bar. Restoration and refurbishment has improved the facilities whilst maintaining the character and charm of this traditional country inn.

St George's- St George's is a family-run bed and breakfast with 10 individually decorated en suite bedrooms. This Victorian house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac across from York's racecourse. It is a 10 minute walk to the city walls but less to the start of York's many wonderful eating places. From here to get to the city center you can either walk round on the walls at Micklegate Bar towards the spectacular ancient Minster or under them where the shops start. Both ways take around a further 10 minutes, so it is 20 minutes walking from us to the middle of town. Our emphasis is on friendliness and cleanliness. The Queens Head Hotel- This 17th-century coaching inn is located on Ashby's main high street. Family run, it offers home-cooked English food and a lively weekend nightclub. The Queen's Head Hotel is close to all the main local motorways, and a short journey from Birmingham and East Midlands Airport. An intimate front bar is open until either 22:30 (Sunday), 23:00 (Monday to Wednesday), 00:00 (Thursday) or 01:00 (Friday and Saturday). On Fridays and Saturdays, the hotel features Ciros Night Club (open till 02:00) and The Loft Bar (open till 01:00). It's popular and so a bit noisy, but residents are on the club's guest list. The hotel also features a large outside smoking area and a TV lounge.
