Holmwood House Hotel - Backing onto a pretty square, this Grade II listed house within a Victorian terrace has been lovingly restored to retain the ambiance of a private home with elegant rooms. Holmwood House features a comfortable sitting room with an open fire. Breakfast is their speciality, with a wide selection including Craster kippers. Special diets can be catered for with prior arrangement. Holmwood House is west of the city walls, which are just a short walk away. The wonderful York Minster and The Shambles, as well as the Jorvik Viking Centre, the Railway Museum and many other attractions are within easy walking distance. It is also conveniently located for the railway station, for easy access to the Yorkshire countryside, Scarborough and Whitby, as well as the beaches at Filey and Robin Hood's Bay, and the uplands of the Wolds, the Moors and the Dales.

Alvera Court - Colin and Brenda Grant offer a warm Scottish welcome to holiday visitors and conference delegates to our attractive, friendly and comfortable totally non-smoking home. We are small, privately owned and run by ourselves, offering twelve individually decorated bedrooms. Visit Britain Four Star guest accomodation, centrally located opposite the International Conference Centre, with a short stroll to the town centre, the bus and train stations. We are a town house with stairs to all levels. Sorry we do not have a ground floor bedroom. We have our own private car park next to the hotel, and look forward to offering you the facilities you expect, but with a homely and friendly atmosphere. Access at all times once checked in. We do not serve dinner now as there are more than seventy restaurants a five minute walk from us into town. There is a trouser press, iron and ironing board available.

The Old Mill - As the name suggests, The Old Mill is a converted windmill circa 1750, which today offers a warm welcome and a relaxing stay. The Old Mill was originally converted to a house in 1968, retaining many of its original features. A subsequent re-vamp was completed in September 2004, complementing the original architecture. The bed and breakfast has a high standard of accommodation and offers a full English breakfast to set you up for the day's activities.

The Sycamore Guest House - This Edwardian home, built around 1904, is a small family-run guest house in York. It is a 5-minute walk through the Museum Gardens to the Minster and city centre. The York B&B is in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking a bowling green. The Sycamore Guest House is 10 minutes' walk or a short taxi ride from York Railway Station with its excellent rail links to the rest of England. The guest house also offers free, guaranteed on-street parking, opposite the house, at the end of the cul-de-sac.

The Scarborough Travel and Holiday Lodge - This budget lodge-style accommodation is a 10-minute walk from the town centre and 800 metres from the Spa Complex and South Bay. The Scarborough Travel and Holiday Lodge was 'Highly Commended' in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast Tourism Awards 2008 for 'Outstanding Customer Service'. There is a free off road car-park, pool room and patio area. Family rooms can sleep up to 5 people: 2 adults and 3 children, or 3 adults. Crosby's Bar has recently been refurbished, and the rustic French-style 'Funny Onions Bistro', serves breakfast dishes and evening meals made with local produce. The lodge has over 10 years experience with educational visits. Group bookings are taken by prior arrangement.

The Greno - This family-run guesthouse is situated on the North Bay of Scarborough, with stunning views of the bay and castle from many rooms, and 5 minutes' walk from the town centre. Ten minutes' walk from the South Bay, this guesthouse is the perfect place to relax in after a busy day enjoying the attractions and scenery of the surrounding area. Please note that The Greno is completely non-smoking.
