The Bat and Ball Inn - In a small, pretty village in the Oxfordshire countryside, just 8 miles (13 km) from Oxford city centre, this former coaching inn offers delicious food, real ales and a charming village atmosphere. The Bat & Ball Inn has a great bar, with an enormous collection of cricketing memorabilia. With pine tables and flagstone floors, the bar has a cosy and comfortable feel. You can enjoy an excellent selection of hand-pulled ales including LBW, Marston's Pedigree and a weekly changing guest ale. The restaurant has a great reputation for serving fantastic food, with seasonal menus offering good quality and value for money. The Bat & Ball has appeared in the Good Pub Guide and more recently received an entry in Michelin's Eating Out In Pubs Guide. Wi-Fi is available in the bar and restaurant. All of the rooms have now been sympathetically refurbished in a contemporary style. Each room is named after a famous cricketer and has starched linen bedding, a modern en suite bathroom, an LCD flat-screen TV with digital Freeview channels and solid oak furniture.

The Chequers Inn - The Chequers Inn is a charming and peaceful countryside inn, with en suite rooms, free Wi-Fi and pleasant dining areas. The Chequers Inn is in a delightful Oxfordshire village of Charney Bassett. The rooms are bright, spacious and pleasantly furnished to ensure your stay is comfortable. All have a separate entrance, king-size bed, digital LCD-screen TV, hairdryer, desk and tea/coffee. Free parking is available on site and early check-in is possible on request.

White Hart Nettlebed - The White Hart is a stylishly refurbished 14th century Country inn, in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Nettlebed, just outside the thriving Thames side town of Henley. The restaurant has a daily changing menu of Mediterranean and British cooking, including many traditional pub favourites. The ingredients are mostly local and seasonal. The White Hart has 12 individually designed en suite double rooms, 6 of which are in the main building and 6 in the converted stables alongside the inn. There is a cosy bar with a log fire and free Wi-Fi. Near the historic market towns of Wallingford and Abingdon, the White Hart is not far from Reading, Oxford, Ascot and Windsor. The restaurant and bar are not open on Sunday or Public Holiday evenings.

The Vines - Set in the picturesque village of Black Bourton, near Bampton, this charming rural retreat provides the ideal base from which to explore Oxford, Swindon, Witney or Brize Norton and the beautiful Cotswolds. The Vines Hotel and Restaurant, has long been acclaimed for its fine dining in elegant surroundings. It was famously designed by John Clegg of the BBC's Real Rooms team and provides traditional log fires alongside luxurious contemporary-style d?cor. Due to its success, the hotel now also features a detached wing in the gardens overlooking the lovely Black Bourton church. Independently owned and run by Andy and Karen Gerges, The Vines aims to provide a pleasant and relaxing stay, with packages personally tailored to your needs (subject to availability). They also offer space for functions of up to 100 people.

Parklands - Parklands is in a beautiful tree-lined residential area of North Oxford, and within 15 minutes' walk of the city centre. It has free Wi-Fi access throughout. A frequent bus service passes by, and there is ample free on-site parking. All rooms have been refurbished and have en suite facilities. A full English or a vegetarian breakfast is included in the price. Parklands also has a licensed bar, a comfortable guest lounge and a private walled garden.
