Highbury Barn Restaurant and Rooms - Warm and welcoming, the Highbury Barn is close to the historic market town of Sudbury, which is off the banks of the River Stour, where Gainsborough once sat painting the stunning countryside. Also close are the villages of Long Melford, Lavenham and larger towns such as Colchester and Bury St. Edmunds. Dating back beyond the 16th century, Highbury Barn has kept its character. It has exposed beams and a real log fire, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Relax after a busy day with a glass of wine, before dining in the fine restaurant, which offers full waitress service and a full range of freshly prepared dishes. Six Bells Inn - The Six Bells is a perfect country escape set on the edge of the village green, near the duck pond in the pretty Suffolk village of Bardwell. Originating in the late 1500s, the Inn was enlarged in the 19th century and more recently by ourselves. It now offers a characterful blend of old and new. Totally surrounded by countryside, it offers total peace and tranquillity, great food and a country atmosphere. Yet due to good major roads links of the M11/A11 & A14, it is a surprisingly easy drive from London and the Midlands. We offer all of the delights of a country inn: excellent food and drink in a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. Gordon Ferguson and his team prepare a varying 3-course dinner menu each evening. The dishes range from the contemporary to the traditional. Prime local produce, fresh fish, Suffolk pork and lamb, and game in season are prepared daily for you to enjoy. We also offer a limited vegetarian menu and a small evening supper menu. We can prepare additional vegetarian dishes, gluten free dishes and cater for other dietary needs if we are advised of your requirements prior to your stay.

Butley Priory - Set in the wilds of the Suffolk coast, between Rendlesham Forest and the sea, this fairytale 14th century monastery has been beautifully converted to offer luxurious accommodation. The White Horse offers six guest rooms in a converted barn, all en-suite, five with bathtub and shower and one fully accessible disabled room. The 15 en suite bedrooms have been tastefully furnished and all have full facilities. The majority of our bedrooms are in the old stables at the back of the main building and ground floor rooms are available. The Garden Room, lounge and public bars offer excellent menus including English classics and an extensive wine list. The Tudor Room Restaurant, open on Saturdays and for private functions, offers dining in beautiful surroundings. The A143, A1307 and A11 offer excellent transport links to the surrounding areas. In addition to this, the M11 is only 18 miles away.
