Jim has a taxi for tours and local runs and can help with local knowledge and advice on where to go for day trips etc. The cosy Tourist Board-rated establishment has en suite rooms, and offers a choice of vegetarian, continental and full Scottish breakfast. There is also a nice four-poster room with a corner bath and a view over the loch.

Wellwood House- The AA 4-star Wellwood House is a Victorian manor house set in 2 acres of quiet gardens in central Pitlochry, with stunning views of the Vale of Atholl and Ben Vrachie. Originally built around 1881, Wellwood House is surrounded by private gardens, with a stream and a pond. Red squirrels, roe deer, moorhens, and wild ducks are often seen in the gardens. With all the peace and quiet of an out-of-town, semi-rural location, Rhins of Galloway is nevertheless within a short drive of the area's shops and eateries.
