Foyers House- High above Loch Ness, with spectacular panoramic views over the loch, this Highland bed and breakfast offers a peaceful, child-free environment in which to relax and unwind. At Upper Foyers, next to the waterfall, Foyers House is on the quiet south side of Loch Ness. There are 8 individually styled bedrooms, seven with magnificent views over the loch, along with one standard single bedroom with a woodland view. Free Wi-Fi is available in some rooms. The terrace is the highest viewpoint in the great glen and you can enjoy a drink while watching the sun set over the mountain or have a whisky in the lounge. Fly-fishing for salmon or trout on Loch Ness and the River Oich can be arranged, with a ghillie, a boat and all tackle provided. Pub food is available 4 miles (6.4 km) away, in the direction of Fort Augustus, as well as 9 miles (14.5 km) towards Inverness.

Creag Meagaidh- Set within the Cairngorm National Park, this small, family-run guest house offers the ideal base from which to explore the wonderful mountain ranges of Cairngorm and Monadh Liath. A comfortable and modern home, Creag Meagaidh stands in the village of Newtonmore, which has a wonderful circular route around it called the Wildcat Trail. This is a fabulous walk (or run) with great views of the River Spey, the Cairngorm Mountains, Creag Dubh, woodlands, waterfalls and all sorts of wildlife.
