Alba House- Alba House is a beautiful, detached Victorian villa built around 1860 and set in large, landscaped gardens with many mature trees and ample seating areas. The bedrooms, all en suite, are individually designed with comfort in mind. Each of the spacious bedrooms has retained its Victorian proportions and has either one double (or king-size) bed or twin beds. All bedrooms have been refurbished over the last 6 months. Private parking is available for all guests. Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, The Scottish Parliament Building, The Festival Theatre, The Playhouse Theatre and The Edinburgh International Conference Centre are all close by. Alba House is also conveniently placed for The Royal Observatory, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and Edinburgh University; the King's Building is a 5-minute walk away.

Invernairne- Invernairne has a great position overlooking the Moray Firth, and from the garden you can stroll down a path to the beach. This historic mansion has one of the best positions in Nairn, and many of its rooms overlook the sea. Try and spot dolphins, seals, yachts or a beautiful sunset. Invernairne has free Wi-Fi and excellent breakfasts are available. A baronial lounge bar is open until the early evening and hosts a log fire in cooler months.

Marchbankwood House- Wonderful views over the Moffat Hills, comfy super-king beds, spacious accommodation and a real log fire help create a pleasant and relaxing stay in Beattock, 3 miles (4.8 km) from Moffat. Enjoy a full Scottish breakfast using locally sourced ingredients, or a lighter continental breakfast. Dumfries and Galloway is a lovely undiscovered part of Scotland, full of wonderful walks, fantastic scenery, castles, museums and more.

The Hawthorns- This traditional Scottish bed and breakfast is situated in the heart of picturesque Drymen, the first stop on the West Highland Way and at the beginning of Rob Roy Way. The Hawthorns is a comfortable resting place if you wish to explore the delights of the surrounding areas of Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The village of Drymen boasts excellent pubs and village stores. All rooms at The Hawthorns are carefully decorated and finished to a very high standard. In the morning, a traditional Scottish breakfast is served in the dining room.

Appletree- The family-run Appletree offers a warm welcome, free parking, free Wi-Fi and an excellent breakfast, all just 2 km from Prestwick Airport and 1 km from the train station. Express bus routes to Glasgow and Edinburgh are 200 metres away and both Prestwick town centre and the seafront are a 5-minute walk away. Appletree has been refurbished, but maintains many of its 19th-century features and has a large garden. All rooms on the ground floor and feature an LCD TV/DVD/CD combo, built-in Freeview and an iPod dock Old Prestwick, St Nicholas and St Cuthberts golf courses are within walking distance, and championship courses are a short drive away. A swimming pool, 2 fitness centres, cricket, tennis and indoor bowls are 500 metres away.

West End Guest House- Offering good food and warm Scottish hospitality, West End has a central location in Elgin and is well placed for shops, leisure, restaurants and attractions. The guest house is a traditional Victorian villa with a large private car park. It is also convenient for rail and coach travellers. The West End's excellent breakfasts feature local ingredients where possible, and will set you up for the day ahead. Enjoy specialty sausages, Stornaway black pudding and smoked haddock from Buckie. In the area you will find the Scottish Malt Whisky Trail, Johnson's Cashmere Centre, Baxter's Visitor Centre and numerous historic sites, including Elgin Cathedral.

Willowbank- Willowbank is one of the very few listed buildings within the Cairngorms National Park and offers bed and breakfast accommodation just 15 minutes' drive from Aviemore.
