Arundel House - This privately owned Regency-period building is in Cheddar. There is friendly, helpful service and a licensed bar lounge where a fire burns during cold weather. Previously The Market Cross Hotel, Arundel House offers fresh 3-course evening meals (when requested 24 hours in advance). For those with allergies, please note that Arundel House has dog (Sweep) and a cat (Tanta). For those with no allergies, both are very friendly and happy to meet guests! Whilst at Arundel House you can easily visit the Cheddar Caves, Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills.

Bloomfield House was built in the 1790s and was once the home of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress. It is a Grade II listed building and has good environmental credentials. Pets are welcome at Bloomfield House. Full English breakfasts are organic, Fair Trade and ingredients are provided by local suppliers. Each room is individually styled, with either a four-poster or half-tester bed.
