The Inn With The Well- This charming family-run inn has an attractive and tranquil setting in the midst of the rolling Marlborough Downs, with great access to the region's major road network. The Inn With The Well gets its name from the original well set in the restaurant floor. Bulletproof glass has been used to provide a safe cover for the well, allowing you to stand on top and look down the 30-metre shaft of this impressive original feature. Originally established in 1647, this traditional coaching inn is situated on the Ridgeway path, Europe's oldest highway. Today, the inn still has a convenient location, with good access to the area's main roads. The inn is just off the A346, only 5 minutes from junction 15 of the M4 motorway.
