The White House Experience - This licensed country guest house is situated just 3 kilometres (2 miles) from junction 40 of the M6/A66, offering you a small, luxurious and homely alternative to regular travel accommodation. Low House - This 17th-century Lakeland country home offers delicious cooking, cosy open fires, free Wi-Fi and a warm welcome, all in a peaceful setting just 5 minutes from local amenities. Low House is located within a mile of Windermere and a few hundred metres from Windermere Golf Club. All the facilities of Windermere are 25 minutes' walk away. The house is filled with antiques, books and paintings, as well as modern, useful facilities. The bedrooms have king-size beds and Molton Brown toiletries.

Blue Pig - In the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, this newly renovated 17th-century cottage offers comfortable, bright accommodation in 3 lovely en suite rooms. The cosy lounge with log-burning stove can be made available. A cooked English breakfast is included in the room rate. There are 3 car parking spaces for guests (150 yards/140 metres from Blue Pig). The cottage is conveniently located just off the A65, only a few miles from the M6 motorway. The peaceful, convenient location makes the Blue Pig ideal for exploring the town and countryside.

Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

Stanley House - Stanley House is a Lake District B&B with en suite bedrooms with stunning views of the fells, gardens and rivers. Located in Eskdale, the B&B is ideal for walkers and is a few miles from Wastwater, England's deepest lake. The Ravenglass & Eskdale railway stops at Beckfoot, the local station. Each comfortable room comes with a TV, DVD player with DVD library, and free Wi-Fi. There are 2 ground-floor sitting rooms, one with a wood stove and sofas to laze on, the other with a TV and PlayStation for the children. Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the gardens and 2 rivers.

Beech House - In a quiet location, only a few minutes' walk from Windermere's town centre, this small, charming guest house is traditionally built from authentic local stone. In the heart of the English Lake District, Beech House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a good location, within easy reach of all of Windermere's shops, cafes and restaurants.
