The Derby Arms - Perfectly situated in the Lake District National Park, The Derby Arms is a traditional country pub offering comfortable rooms, providing an ideal base from which to explore the South Lakes. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

Knoll Country House - This beautiful late Victorian country house is set in its own grounds amidst beautiful wooded countryside, in the picturesque location of Newby Bridge, on the shore of Lake Windermere. Knoll Country House has many original period features including an ornate staircase, stained glass windows, fireplaces, cornices and picture rails. It has been sympathetically decorated and refurbished to enhance these beautiful characteristics. The hotel features in the Which?
