Applegarth Villa and JR's Restaurant - This family-owned and run hotel is set in a magnificent Victorian mansion house in a quiet street close to the heart of Windermere village. With a magnificent oak panelled lounge, bar and conservatory restaurant serving imaginative cuisine by our award- winning head chef, you will find the Applegarth is the perfect base for exploring the Lakes. Our wonderful location gives you the opportunity of stepping onto the lake land fells, boarding a steamer on Lake Windermere or visiting some of the many attractions the Lake District has to offer. Yet the hotel is only 20 minutes by car from the M6 and a very short walk from the main bus and rail services.

Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar - In the heart of the town of Windermere, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District, this attractive Victorian building is now a family-owned guest house and pub. Close to all that the town has to offer, the Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar has a good location, only a two-minute walk from Windermere Railway Station and just off the A591, which runs right through the Lake District. Lake Windermere is just 5 minutes away by car or only a 15-minute stroll from the front door. There is a large, free car park. A range of accommodation is available to suit the needs and budget of any traveller. Some rooms have en suite bathrooms and rooms with shared bathroom facilities are also available. Delicious food and real ales are served in both the restaurant and the Lamplighter Bar. Seafood is a speciality, with fresh fish delivered daily from Fleetwood.

Later try one or even two of the quaint pubs around and about in bowness. For an intimate evening in we have now built a cinema room to enjoy your very own viewing of films from TV or dvd on the big screen ( yes we even can provide the popcorn )

Ideally situated on a quiet road close to the centre of Windermere Village, with its own large private car park, Jerichos at the Waverley offers you an ideal, relaxing place from which you can enjoy your break.

Waverley Hotel - The Waverley Hotel, Workington, offers quality, exceptional value accommodation with a wide variety of room styles. Glen Wynne - Glen Wynne is a cosy B&B that offers quality, comfortable and friendly accommodation in the heart of Windermere village, the Lake District. It is close to the railway/bus station, local restaurants, bars and shops, and the lake. The traditional stone Victorian guest house has been awarded a Visit Britain 3-star rating. All rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and have en suite facilities. Full English breakfast is included in your room rate.
