Strands Hotel - Strands Hotel/Inn was built in the eighteen hundreds. The building is nestling in the heart of Wasdale Valley, which has beautiful views of the surrounding fells. It is situated only a short walk from the Deepest Lake (Wastwater) in England, also the Highest Mountain (Scawfell) and the Smallest Church which is at Wasdale Head. Mark, Lesley and family have run this typical Lakeland Hotel since June 2006. Mark brews his own ales, our home cooked traditional food is very popular with visitors and locals.

Firgarth Guest House - This elegant Victorian house, built in Lakeland stone around 1875, offers views to the rear over Wynlass Beck, along with comfortable en suite rooms, a residents' lounge and private parking. Firgarth Guest House is conveniently situated just 12 minutes' walk from the centre of Windermere, which offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The guest house has a great location, between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. It is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, situated in the number one location within the English Lake District National Park: Windermere. The guest lounge is comfortable, with plenty of books and information on local walks, as well as a selection of games to keep you amused in the evenings. The traditional breakfast menu is all freshly prepared. There is a choice of orange juice, grapefruit, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt and a variety of cooked-to-order breakfasts. The guest house is regretfully unable to accept any arrivals after 20:00.

Corner Beech House - An AA 4-star Bed and Breakfast, Corner Beech House is an elegant Edwardian building with striking sea views; perfect for exploring the Lake District. All of the comfortable en suite rooms have a widescreen TV and some of the rooms have stunning sea views of Morecambe Bay. There is a DVD library for guests and all rooms have comfortable sofas. The centre of Grange-over-Sands is a 5-minute walk away, with its many shops, pubs and restaurants. Golf courses are also close by. The Corner Beech House is just a short drive from Windermere, Kendal and Coniston in The Lake District.

The Willowsmere - This guest house was built in the mid-19th century using Lakeland stone. With award-winning gardens, The Willowsmere is a grand Victorian residence ideally located for a visit to the Lake District. Martin and Sue welcome you to their friendly and cosy home. In recent years, The Willowsmere has been tastefully restored and renovated to include luxuries you might not expect in a guest house. There are en suite bedrooms, 2 guest lounges and a hidden garden where you can enjoy a drink from the well-stocked cellar. All guests have free use of nearby leisure facilities (5 minutes' walk). The Willowsmere has a large off-road car park and is 8 minutes' walk from Windermere centre and train station and 10 minutes' walk from Lake Windermere. The Willowsmere generally operates a 2 or 3-night minimum-stay policy.

Crow How Country Guest House - In a stunning rural setting in the historic Rydal Valley amidst the fells, this grand Victorian building dates back to 1848. Crow How was built as a farm house in 1848 from the stones of ancient Rydal Hall. It was then converted into a country guest house in the early 1930s. Crow How has been carefully renovated to provide you with a well-located Ambleside bed and breakfast, ideal for exploring the the beautiful Lake District.

Eastbourne Guest House - In the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, this traditional slate-built Lakeland house offers superior bed-and-breakfast accommodation in spacious individually designed en suite rooms. Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

Cherry Garth Guest House - Cherry Garth is a non-smoking house situated in Ambleside at the Heart of the English Lake District. We are less than five minutes walk from both the centre of Ambleside and Lake Windermere. Guests benefit from a sunny south westerly aspect with wonderful views over the surrounding Lakeland fells.
