The Derby Arms - Perfectly situated in the Lake District National Park, The Derby Arms is a traditional country pub offering comfortable rooms, providing an ideal base from which to explore the South Lakes. The Willowsmere - This guest house was built in the mid-19th century using Lakeland stone. With award-winning gardens, The Willowsmere is a grand Victorian residence ideally located for a visit to the Lake District. Martin and Sue welcome you to their friendly and cosy home. In recent years, The Willowsmere has been tastefully restored and renovated to include luxuries you might not expect in a guest house. There are en suite bedrooms, 2 guest lounges and a hidden garden where you can enjoy a drink from the well-stocked cellar. All guests have free use of nearby leisure facilities (5 minutes' walk). The Willowsmere has a large off-road car park and is 8 minutes' walk from Windermere centre and train station and 10 minutes' walk from Lake Windermere. The Willowsmere generally operates a 2 or 3-night minimum-stay policy.

Rothay Garth - The Rothay Garth is a traditional Lakeland guest house with beautiful gardens and superb mountain views in the heart of Ambleside village. Carefully retaining many of the original features of the property, Denehouse has been completely refurbished to ensure that you are provided with every modern comfort during your stay. During your stay you can take the time to explore the village of Bowness, with its many pubs and restaurants, or take a boat trip on the lake. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the leisure facilities at the nearby The Spinnaker Club in Windermere Marina Village.

Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

Fir Trees - Built in 1888 and retaining lots of original features, all rooms at this well-reputed guest house are well furnished, spotlessly clean and decorated to a very high standard. Fir Trees is close to all amenities in Windermere and Bowness, both of which are a 10 minute walk away. There is plenty of off-road car parking and a garage for cyclists who may wish to leave their cycles overnight. Breakfasts are all cooked to order and offer a good choice; just what you need to set you up for the day. There are lots of scenic walks nearby for those wishing to leave the car behind and go off on foot to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy free use of leisure facilities at Parklands Country Club, and a free day fishing pass for all local waters (equipment not provided).

The Old Ginn House Inn - In the small village of Great Clifton, on the west coast of the Cumbrian Lake District, this charming inn was converted from a 17th-century farmstead and offers comfortable, characteristic accommodation. The Old Ginn House has a cosy lounge where you can relax with comfy sofas and chairs, television and a choice of books and magazines. For the warmer months, there is a patio in the courtyard.
