High Fold Guest House - Beautifully set within its own grounds in the picturesque village of Troutbeck, this charming guest house provides the ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty of the Lake District. High Fold Guest House boasts a peaceful rural location, less than 3 miles from Windermere and the Lakeshore, and approximately 4 miles from Ambleside. This makes it the perfect choice for walkers and cyclists, or for those looking to escape the stresses of everyday life. All of the 5 bedrooms are individually decorated and named after a local landmark. Most enjoy wonderfully peaceful views over the surrounding Fells. The dining room also enjoys beautiful countryside views.

Waverley Hotel - The Waverley Hotel, Workington, offers quality, exceptional value accommodation with a wide variety of room styles. The Waverley Hotel is situated in the historic coastal town of Workington, Cumbria. The Waverley Hotel is within easy walking distance of bus and rail terminals, local shops, theatres, parks, Workington speedway, rugby league and rugby union, Workington Reds football stadiums as well as other Workington central amenities. Nearby attractions include a variety of craft outlets and artisans producing beautiful gifts and momentos to remind you of your stay. We have 25 en suite bedrooms, 4 standard rooms and a selection of individually designed executive suites giving a maximum occupancy of 50 guests. All bedrooms contain the usual modern amenities with tea/coffee making facilities, colour tv, hair dryer, direct dial telephones, broadband internet access, luxury toiletries, tourist information, notepads etc. a separate ironing room is available, however executive suites include an ironing station, fresh flowers and complimentary welcome pack (wine, fresh fruit, still water and chocolates). Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.

Woodlands - In Windermere, just a short stroll from the lake and Bowness, Woodlands offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and luxurious, 5-star guest accommodation in beautiful, boutique-style rooms. Some rooms have four-poster beds and some have free Wi-Fi. A full English breakfast is on offer each morning and includes fresh, local produce. The bar serves a range of drinks, including freshly ground Italian coffees, organic wines and champagnes. Guests can use the leisure facilities of the nearby Parklands Country Club, free of charge. The club has a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, swimming pool, gym and beauty salon.

Firgarth Guest House - This elegant Victorian house, built in Lakeland stone around 1875, offers views to the rear over Wynlass Beck, along with comfortable en suite rooms, a residents' lounge and private parking. Firgarth Guest House is conveniently situated just 12 minutes' walk from the centre of Windermere, which offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The guest house has a great location, between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. It is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, situated in the number one location within the English Lake District National Park: Windermere. The guest lounge is comfortable, with plenty of books and information on local walks, as well as a selection of games to keep you amused in the evenings. The traditional breakfast menu is all freshly prepared. There is a choice of orange juice, grapefruit, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt and a variety of cooked-to-order breakfasts. The guest house is regretfully unable to accept any arrivals after 20:00.

Balcony House Guest House - Balcony house is a Victorian family-run bed and breakfast offering clean, quality accommodation at an affordable price. We are located on the north side of Kendal, a historical market town ever expanding and offering numerous shops pubs and restaurants. We offer 2 en suite double rooms and the balcony room with four-poster bed and private bathroom directly opposite the room. Breakfast and free use of a local hotel pool, gym and spa is included in the cost of your stay.

Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

During your stay at Sawrey House you can explore Grizedale Forest or take the ferry across to the east of Lake Windermere. Alternatively, you can drive north to the very heart of the Lake District where you will find Ambleside, Hawkshead, Coniston, Langdale, Grasmere and Keswick.
