The Red Lion Hinxton- In a tiny village south of Cambridge, this appealing 16th-century freehouse has an AA Rosette restaurant, an atmospheric bar, and new-build en suite rooms with free internet. The Red Lion is a Grade II listed building with a walled garden overlooked by a dovecote and village church. You will find beamed ceilings, log fires, cask ales and seasonal menus within the bar and restaurant. The Swan Inn- This family-run public house was built over 150 years ago as a coaching inn, and is situated in the picturesque Wylye Valley, just 10 minutes' drive from Salisbury. Since it was built it has been a watering and feeding stop for people traveling between Bath and Salisbury.
