Acorn Lodge Guest House- Dating back some 100 years, this family-run B&B close to the town centre was once the home of monks from the nearby church. Elstree Inn- Elstree Inn is in the heart of Borehamwood, close to the train station and a shopping park. It offers a friendly approach and an affordable price. Rooms and facilities are currently being improved, and the good-value rates reflect this. Nearby attractions include Aldenham Country Park, and there is good access to the M1 and M25. The George At Brailes- Enjoy historic rooms, local ales and a lovely restaurant at The George, a charming pub dating back to 1350 and located 15 miles (24 km) from Stratford-Upon-Avon. The George At Brailes has a beautiful village location 25 miles (40 km) from Oxford and 20 miles (32 km) from Blenheim Palace. 10 local walks start from the pub, and bicycles can be stored in the barn. The pub oozes history, from the Cavaliers names etched into glass, to the ghost stories and medieval decoration in the oak beams. The bright, clean rooms have oak beams and uneven floors and walls that reflect their age. The Minadab Cottage- With spectacular views over Labrador Bay, this exclusive thatched cottage dates back to the 1820s and has 3 stylish, individually decorated rooms. Minadab Cottage in Teignmouth is a tranquil retreat and has been a coastal landmark for the past 200 years. The cottage is 9 miles (14.5 km) from Exeter, 6 miles (9.7 km) from Dartmoor and 5 miles (8 km) from Torquay and Newton Abbott. The original cottage was supposedly built in the shape of a boat, with rooms 'fore and aft' and a rope ladder joining the ground floor to the upper deck - now replaced with modern stairs! Today it has been transformed into a delightful B&B by its owners. Unfortunately, due to the rooms, Minadab Cottage is unable to accommodate very young children.

Dartbridge Inn- Just off the A38 on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, The Dartbridge Inn has en suite rooms, a relaxed bar with Real Ales, and a restaurant serving food daily. Gatwick Belmont- This independent, family-run establishment is set in the quiet, leafy residential town of Horley, just 5 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The Gatwick Belmont is close to Gatwick Airport, but not on the flight path. This makes it convenient airport guest house accommodation, without the noise and bustle. Horley Rail Station is only a 5-minute walk away, with regular trains to London Victoria. Many guests return to enjoy competitive rates, cleanliness, and a minibus service between Gatwick and the hotel (Gatwick to hotel: 09:00 to 21:00; hotel to Gatwick: 24 hours).
