The Richmoor Hotel- This is a lovely family-run hotel on Weymouth seafront. It has a friendly, homely atmosphere, excellent home-cooked food and cheap bar prices. The Richmoor Hotel is at the quieter end of the seafront but within walking distance of the town centre and Greenhill Gardens. All the en suite rooms were refurbished in the last 2 years and come with plenty of facilities. Some rooms have sea views over Weymouth Bay. The staff are helpful and sociable, and you can enjoy live entertainment in the bar.

Dr Syns Guest House- Just a short stroll away from the beach, this old-world-style guesthouse is set in Dymchurch, next to the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Steam Railway and only 15 minutes from the Eurotunnel. Named after Dr Syns, a mythical character created by actor and author Russel Thorndyke, the Dr Syns Guesthouse dates back to the 1700s, making it one of the oldest buildings in Dymchurch. The Crown is very close to the well known Chislehurst Caves which extend for nearly 20 miles and date back over 4,000 years. The caves became more widely known after their use during the Second World War as an air raid shelter, not only for the locals but for over 10,000 Londoners who travelled to the caves each night by special train. It was so well organised that people could pay 1d per night for a bunk and there was also a cinema, church and hospital for them to use during their time underground.
