Braunston Manor- In over 12 acres of attractive, peaceful grounds, this beautifully restored 400-year-old building commands stunning uninterrupted views over open countryside. Overlooking the canals and the marina, Braunston Manor is located in the village of Braunston, on the border of Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. With flowering shrubs and daffodils in spring, the grounds roll down to the Grand Union Canal. The Manor has been in the same family for almost a century. However, the Northamptonshire-stone building dates back to the Tudor period. Today, the building has been attractively restored and now offers 10 individually decorated rooms, each with its own unique charm and character. The George and Dragon Inn- Situated in a small town, this inn provides real ale, good home-cooked food from local suppliers, a fine wine menu and live entertainment on a regular basis. If you are visiting Blackpool for the illuminations, it is only a short walk to catch a tram to wonder at the magic of the Golden Mile and the 5 miles of lights. The Dorchester Guest House- This Victorian house is a short walk from the seafront, Blue Flag beaches and the town centre. It offers family and pet-friendly accommodation with private parking and helpful service. The family-run Dorchester Guest House was the 2008 runner up in the 'Best B&B/Guest House' category in the North Devon Tourism Awards. The friendly staff are happy to assist with arranging activities such as sea fishing, golfing, theatre tickets, horse riding and quad biking.
