Windsor Hotel- The Windsor is family run and family friendly, offering reasonably priced basic guest accommodation right by Folkestone's famous Leas Promenade and The Leas Cliff Hall entertainment venue. The Crown is very close to the well known Chislehurst Caves which extend for nearly 20 miles and date back over 4,000 years. The caves became more widely known after their use during the Second World War as an air raid shelter, not only for the locals but for over 10,000 Londoners who travelled to the caves each night by special train. It was so well organised that people could pay 1d per night for a bunk and there was also a cinema, church and hospital for them to use during their time underground.
