In the town of Ambleside, at the head of Windermere, the Log House was originally brought to the Lake District by local artist Alfred Heaton Cooper nearly 100 years ago. Cooper used the cabin as a home and studio, but today it is a 4-star restaurant with rooms.

The Minadab Cottage- With spectacular views over Labrador Bay, this exclusive thatched cottage dates back to the 1820s and has 3 stylish, individually decorated rooms. Minadab Cottage in Teignmouth is a tranquil retreat and has been a coastal landmark for the past 200 years. The cottage is 9 miles (14.5 km) from Exeter, 6 miles (9.7 km) from Dartmoor and 5 miles (8 km) from Torquay and Newton Abbott. The original cottage was supposedly built in the shape of a boat, with rooms 'fore and aft' and a rope ladder joining the ground floor to the upper deck - now replaced with modern stairs! Today it has been transformed into a delightful B&B by its owners. Unfortunately, due to the rooms, Minadab Cottage is unable to accommodate very young children.

The Pilgrims Rest- The Pilgrims Rest is a sympathetically renovated, Grade II listed, late 16th-early 17th century building, now housing a bar and lounge area, a dining room and 6 en suite bedrooms. The Pilgrims rest has a rich and fascinating history. In the early 19th century, the building was home to a farrier, whose forge stood next door. As recently as the early 1900s, part of the building was a butcher's. Today, the property has been carefully restored and sensitively refurbished by your hosts, Gerard and Denise McNicholas. There are now 6 en suite rooms with all the comforts the modern traveller requires, including tea/coffee making facilities and flat-screen TVs with Freeview digital channels.
