Rowcroft Lodge- Rowcroft Lodge has a super quiet location overlooking Goodrington Park with clear views from the balcony to the sea, and Brixham in the distance. The non-smoking, Rowcroft Lodge has a 4-star Guest Accommodation rating from Visit Britain. The lodge offers good home-cooking and comfortable en suite rooms, with large family rooms. All rooms have tea/coffee and TV with Freeview channels. The many attractions of Torbay are close at hand, with Paignton Zoo within a mile of the hotel. The centre of Paignton is less than a 10-minute walk away. Rowcroft Lodge is situated over 4 floors and does not have a lift. Single-sex groups are accepted, with special conditions applying.

The Inn On The Green- This 15th-century inn offers B&B accommodation, free wireless internet and a gastro-pub restaurant serving good home-cooked food, all in the lovely village of Ockley. It has some of the best panoramic views in town, and is a 10-minute walk from the town centre and North Bay. The hotel has a free off-road car park (limited spaces), a pool room and Crosby's Bar, which has spectacular sea views. The en suite bedrooms come in all shapes and sizes. Family rooms are available.

Mentone Hotel - BandB- In Bloomsbury, in a quiet crescent overlooking tennis courts and gardens, the Mentone Hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Euston and King's Cross stations. All the rooms have private en suite facilities and free wireless internet access. Within half a mile (800 metres), there is the British Museum, Madame Tussauds, London Zoo and theatres.

The Harbour Lights- This guest house and restaurant offers affordable accommodation very close to the small sandy beach in the heart of Ilfracombe's Heritage Harbour, on the South West Coast Path. The Harbour Lights dates from 1895 and was purpose built as a small hotel at the height of Ilfracombe's Victorian heyday. Many of the original features remain, such as the central staircase with its antique mahogany banister and the sash windows. The guest house has a 60-seater, licensed restaurant on the ground floor. It specialises in Appledore fish and seafood, Exmoor lamb and beef and Ilfracombe lobster.

The Kenbury- Set in its own attractive grounds, The Kenbury is the ideal choice for those in search of a peaceful break, whilst still having easy access to the beach, town centre and local transport.
