Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar- In the heart of the town of Windermere, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District, this attractive Victorian building is now a family-owned guest house and pub. Stifford Clays Farmhouse Hotel- This beautifully converted farmhouse is set in landscaped gardens and is close to Dartford, Bluewater and Lakeside shopping centres. It has lovely countryside views and plenty of amenities. The B&B is convenient for the Dartford crossing and the M25. London Excel and City Airport can be reached in a 20-minute drive. Stifford Clays was built in the 18th century and has a mulberry tree that is hundreds of years old and is one of only 18 of its kind in the UK. Soldiers were accommodated here during the World Wars. Room are spread across the main building and an annexe. Most of the bedrooms have been newly refurbished and decorated to a high standard.

Warrens- Finalist for Guest House of The Year 2006-2007, this charming Victorian town house is ideally positioned just a short stroll from the historic city walls and all of York's main attractions. The Manor- Centrally located in the Moorlands and under 5 miles from Alton Towers, this beautiful 250 year old house with a landscaped walled garden was originally built as a rectory. The Beech tree restaurant and garden bar are open for dinner each day, except Sundays when the house closes at 16:00 and latest check in is 20:00. From June 1st, dependant upon weather and demand, dinner will be served outside, barbecue style. Personally managed by the owners, in a relaxed informal style, where the emphasis is on quality of food and personal service, the Manor is a haven of peace where it is easy to unwind.

The Queens Head Hotel- This 17th-century coaching inn is located on Ashby's main high street. Family run, it offers home-cooked English food and a lively weekend nightclub. The Queen's Head Hotel is close to all the main local motorways, and a short journey from Birmingham and East Midlands Airport. An intimate front bar is open until either 22:30 (Sunday), 23:00 (Monday to Wednesday), 00:00 (Thursday) or 01:00 (Friday and Saturday). On Fridays and Saturdays, the hotel features Ciros Night Club (open till 02:00) and The Loft Bar (open till 01:00). It's popular and so a bit noisy, but residents are on the club's guest list. The hotel also features a large outside smoking area and a TV lounge.
