Lord Nelson's flag officers stayed here in the late 1700s. The lounge Bar and some of the rooms have wonderful sea views.

The Swan Inn- This family-run public house was built over 150 years ago as a coaching inn, and is situated in the picturesque Wylye Valley, just 10 minutes' drive from Salisbury. Since it was built it has been a watering and feeding stop for people traveling between Bath and Salisbury. Our rooms offer en suite facilities and we have a traditional beamed bar, separate restaurant, skittle alley and riverside garden where it is free for residents to fish. Stonehenge is nearby.

Blue Pig- In the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, this newly renovated 17th-century cottage offers comfortable, bright accommodation in 3 lovely en suite rooms. The cosy lounge with log-burning stove can be made available. A cooked English breakfast is included in the room rate. There are 3 car parking spaces for guests (150 yards/140 metres from Blue Pig). The cottage is conveniently located just off the A65, only a few miles from the M6 motorway. The peaceful, convenient location makes the Blue Pig ideal for exploring the town and countryside.

Bloomfield House- Bloomfield House is a fine, friendly, family-run Georgian house with elegant rooms, fine art, antiques and splendid views across Bath from its quiet, elevated position. The town centre can be reached in a 15/20-minute walk. There is a regular bus route for the return uphill journey. Bloomfield House was built in the 1790s and was once the home of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress. It is a Grade II listed building and has good environmental credentials. Pets are welcome at Bloomfield House. Full English breakfasts are organic, Fair Trade and ingredients are provided by local suppliers. Each room is individually styled, with either a four-poster or half-tester bed.

The Montana- This family-run guest house is close to the Riviera Centre and Torquay's seafront, and just a short stroll to the harbourside with its great selection of bars, restaurants and shops. All rooms are en suite and have complimentary tea, coffee and toiletries. There is a small licensed bar available for a quiet drink after a day exploring Torbay. Home-cooked evening meals can be made available by prior arrangement. All rooms are totally non-smoking. For the comfort of all guests, The Montana cannot accept single-sex bookings of more than 3 people. No stag/hen parties please.

The pub is famous for its wholesome food, great local Real Ales and warm log fires. A wide range of activities are available, including local skittles matches in the winter months.

Virginia Lodge- Just 5 minutes walk from the very heart of Stratford-upon-Avon and all of the town's famous theatres; this lovely Victorian town house offers free Wi-Fi and free parking. Virginia Lodge has a great location, just a few hundred metres away from the town centre and Stratford-upon-Avon railway station. Stratford-on-Avon Racecourse is only 10 minutes walk away, as are the town's Royal Shakespeare Company theatres. Free off-road parking is available for guests.
