The Queens Head Hotel- This 17th-century coaching inn is located on Ashby's main high street. Family run, it offers home-cooked English food and a lively weekend nightclub. The Queen's Head Hotel is close to all the main local motorways, and a short journey from Birmingham and East Midlands Airport. An intimate front bar is open until either 22:30 (Sunday), 23:00 (Monday to Wednesday), 00:00 (Thursday) or 01:00 (Friday and Saturday). On Fridays and Saturdays, the hotel features Ciros Night Club (open till 02:00) and The Loft Bar (open till 01:00). It's popular and so a bit noisy, but residents are on the club's guest list. The hotel also features a large outside smoking area and a TV lounge.

Berties- This historic building has enjoyed a variety of uses over the years. In the 18th Century it became a coaching house called the Kings Head. In 1995 it was renamed 'Bertie's' after the P.G Woodhouse character Bertie Wooster. Our team of chefs have gained recognition from the aa and Good Food Guide. Bertie's specialises in traditional British fayre but our chefs have blended culinary nostalgia with modern flair and created a very different menu. The menu may feature 'Homemade fishcakes with a tomato herb sauce' alongside 'Brochettes of monkfish with a lemon and chervil dressing' or perhaps 'pork and herb sausages on a bed of mustard mash' alongside 'Roasted rack of lamb with figs and a sauce of ginger'. It is not all full meals, we serve simple lunches and snacks using the finest fresh local produce. In the evening the restaurant is transformed with linen napkins and candles. Parties are catered for with special menus available on request. We can also offer very comfortable guest rooms. these are all en-suite with a television, as well as tea and coffee making facility

St Albans Guest House Dover- Opposite Dover Priory Railway Station and well-placed for the ferry port, this Victorian guest house offers budget, non-smoking B&B accommodation with friendly service. Westbury House- This 3-star rated, Lakeland-stone, Victorian house is set in a quiet side street, approximately 5 minutes' walk from the train/bus station. Jo and Alan offer quality accommodation and excellent value for money. They are very happy to advise you on any walks and have maps to assist you. They can also book you on to tours and make dinner reservations for you at one of the many excellent restaurants in the surrounding area, or beyond. The house is situated opposite Ellerthwaite Park and is a gentle 20-minute walk from Lake Windermere itself.

The Mount- Overlooking the sea from Queens Promenade, The Mount offers welcoming, clean and comfortable accommodation with a buffet-style full English breakfast. The Mount is north of Blackpool town centre, but buses and trams regularly pass the hotel. Jubilee Gardens is nearby. Blackpool North Train Station is 1 mile (1.6 km) away. The quality rooms have recently been refurbished and some have a sea view. Enjoy sea views and sunsets from the sun lounge, with its large digital TV and bar. Home-cooked evening dinners are also available.

The owners have been restaurateurs locally for 20 years. The 3 dining rooms create a stylish brasserie-bar feel.
