The Gladwyn- The Gladwyn has ten comfortable en suite rooms which have all been refurbished and redecorated using unique themes and imaginative colours. You will also find some very nice original art work around the building. We have a family room so families are more than welcome and well behaved pets are invited to accompany their owners. Our public areas are all wi fi enabled (at no additional charge) so you can even bring your laptop.

Avalon House Licensed Guest House- Avalon House offers standard en suite accommodation, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a good location, just one mile (1.6 km) from St Albans Railway Station. On the main London Road, Avalon House is near the centre of St Albans and well-connected to London Colney. It also offers good access to the M25, M1, A1 and the M10 to Hemel Hempstead. Each room is en suite and has a TV. Some rooms have a DVD player. Guests can purchase a day pass for the health club at a nearby hotel. A residents' lounge/bar is available. Business services, a microwave and a fridge are available on request. Takeaway menus are at reception, as are flyers for the region's top nightclub, Batchwood Hall, which is a 10-minute drive away. No longer a hotel, Avalon House Licensed Guest House is now a bed and breakfast and is being refurbished throughout 2009. Stag and hen parties and contractors are welcome.

Annie's Guest House- This family-run, relaxed and friendly B&B is a few minutes' walk from parks, beaches, shopping areas, restaurants, nightlife and local transport links including South Shields Metro Station. Newcastle Central is a 20-minute drive or train journey away. The A1, A19 and Tyne Tunnel are a 10-minute drive away. There is free car parking right outside and secure cycle parking is available. A full English breakfast is served from 06:30 every day, freshly cooked to order. Special diets can be catered for. You can use the guest fridge and microwave in Annie's dining room.
