The Harley- Next to Sheffield University and the city's hospitals, just 5 minutes from the city centre, this small hotel has a lively bar and comfortable rooms. All of the en suite rooms at The Harley are simple, yet well appointed, with tea/coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast is included in the rate. The Harley has a busy bar downstairs, which can get noisy, and has club nights at the weekend (the hotel does provide earplugs). The Crown Inn- With parts dating back to the 13th century, this 16th century inn is now a small country pub offering free Wi-Fi, 2 bars, a separate restaurant and comfortable en suite accommodation. In the heart of the small, charming village of Gayton, the Crown Inn offers 4 comfortable and homely rooms, furnished in a traditional cottage style. Each room has an en suite shower or bathroom. Every room has tea/coffee making facilities and there is a cosy lounge with Sky TV Rich in original character and traditional charm, parts of the building are said to date back to between 1216 and 1262, when the building was constructed to house the stonemason and the workers who built the church opposite. The caves became more widely known after their use during the Second World War as an air raid shelter, not only for the locals but for over 10,000 Londoners who travelled to the caves each night by special train. It was so well organised that people could pay 1d per night for a bunk and there was also a cinema, church and hospital for them to use during their time underground.
