Stone Head House- Just off the Pennine Way, this small, beautiful manor house was built in 1596 and is rich in original character and traditional charm. Today, it offers free Wi-Fi and lovely rooms. In the small valley of Stone Head, near Lothersdale and Cowling in North Yorkshire, Stone Head House once served as a working farm. There are only a handful of properties in the hidden valley, all of similar age. The beautiful original building has been carefully preserved and sensitively refurbished. With flagstone floors downstairs and a huge inglenook fireplace in the dining hall, the guest house provides charming bed and breakfast accommodation at very reasonable rates. Mariner's Inn- Situated in the heart of Bowness, this cosy and traditional Lakeland inn is just 200 yards from Lake Windermere, England's largest lake. Laurel Cottage- Peacefully situated in Windermere, overlooking Queens Park, this guest house is a short stroll from the amenities in the village and about 20 minutes' walk from the Lake and Bowness. Arundel House- This privately owned Regency-period building is in Cheddar. There is friendly, helpful service and a licensed bar lounge where a fire burns during cold weather. Previously The Market Cross Hotel, Arundel House offers fresh 3-course evening meals (when requested 24 hours in advance). For those with allergies, please note that Arundel House has dog (Sweep) and a cat (Tanta). For those with no allergies, both are very friendly and happy to meet guests! Whilst at Arundel House you can easily visit the Cheddar Caves, Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills.

Rostrevor Hotel - Guest House- Just off the A56 in Bury, Lancashire, this splendid 19th-century property overlooks peaceful parkland, yet is within easy reach of Manchester's busy city centre. The Old Crown Coaching Inn- In the heart of the quiet market town, this charming former coaching inn dates back to the 16th century and has retained its original cobbled courtyard and fountain. The hotel's central location makes it an ideal base for exploring Faringdon's picturesque streets and the surrounding countryside. Once a month, the archway leading to the hotel's courtyard, just off the market square, is home to stalls from the local farmers' market. The Old Railway Station- Formerly Petworth Railway Station, built in 1894 - now the perfect place to relax in colonial splendour. The guest rooms are all double, en-suite. There are 2 rooms in the Station House, the remaining guest rooms are in our fully restored Edwardian Pullman railway carriages. The magnificent guest lounge was formerly the waiting room and has a 20 foot vaulted ceiling. It leads out onto the platform which is a popular summer venue for breakfast. The dining area backs onto the station master's and ticket office, now the station kitchen, and features the original ticket windows. In winter, breakfast is served, accompanied by a roaring log fire, in the booking hall.
