The Pilgrims rest has a rich and fascinating history. In the early 19th century, the building was home to a farrier, whose forge stood next door. As recently as the early 1900s, part of the building was a butcher's. Today, the property has been carefully restored and sensitively refurbished by your hosts, Gerard and Denise McNicholas. There are now 6 en suite rooms with all the comforts the modern traveller requires, including tea/coffee making facilities and flat-screen TVs with Freeview digital channels. Maple Lodge- Maple Lodge has a friendly atmosphere and personal service. It is located on the edge of Clayton-le-Moors, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from Accrington town centre. There are 8 en suite bedrooms, and each has free Wi-Fi, Freeview TV, a DVD player and many other facilities. The house was built in the early 1700s and retains many original features. Evening meals are available from Monday to Thursday, and there is a fully licensed bar for residents. The private car park has CCTV and there is room to store bicycles. Junction 7 of the M65 is only 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away, giving easy access to Blackburn, Burnley and the M6. Manchester is 25 miles (40.2 km) away. Skipton is a 20-minute drive away.

White Hart Nettlebed- The White Hart is a stylishly refurbished 14th century Country inn, in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Nettlebed, just outside the thriving Thames side town of Henley. The restaurant has a daily changing menu of Mediterranean and British cooking, including many traditional pub favourites. The ingredients are mostly local and seasonal. The White Hart has 12 individually designed en suite double rooms, 6 of which are in the main building and 6 in the converted stables alongside the inn. There is a cosy bar with a log fire and free Wi-Fi. Near the historic market towns of Wallingford and Abingdon, the White Hart is not far from Reading, Oxford, Ascot and Windsor. The restaurant and bar are not open on Sunday or Public Holiday evenings.
