The White Hart Hotel - This restored 15th century coaching inn is situated in the heart of the small medieval city of Wells, by the cathedral green, just metres away from the ancient marketplace. The celebrated architect Thomas Baldwin created Great Pulteney Street in 1789, using the famous honey-coloured Bath Stone. Today, the hotel still retains many beautiful original Georgian features, with large rooms with high ceilings and large sliding sash windows. There are 31 uniquely furnished and individually heated rooms, all of which are en suite with either a bath or shower, or more often both.
