Ye Olde Fighting Cocks offers comfortable en suite bed-and-breakfast accommodation, ideal for the English Lake District and the surrounding Arnside and Silverdale areas of outstanding natural beauty. With scenic views across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District and with plenty of seashore and fell walking, the inn makes a great base from which to explore the area. All of the beautifully refurbished en suite rooms have TVs, hairdryers, trouser presses, radio alarms and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms boast fantastic views out over the bay and the mouth of the River Kent to the mountains. The bar is well stocked with traditional beers, lagers and wines and there is a real fire for the winter months. Food is home-cooked and freshly prepared, with daily specials. Outside, a terraced garden allows you to watch the river go by or do a spot of bird watching. Facilities include a car park and a barn where bicycles can be locked away. Arnside's railway station is just 300 metres away and offers fast, easy and convenient access to the rest of the Lake District. Free parking is available on site.
