Balmoral Hotel- This small country inn is situated in the centre of Moffat, a former spa town where national bard Robert Burns was one of the many visitors who came here to take the waters. For walking enthusiasts, Moffat lies at the midpoint of the Southern Upland Way and is an excellent base to explore this part of Scotland. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Galloway and the Lake District are all within easy reach. The inn is fully licensed and offers great food from 07:00 till 21:30 every day.

Edinburgh First At The University Of Edinburgh- Based at Pollock Halls at Holyrood Park, this varied B&B campus accommodation is close to the city centre and parliament buildings. Edinburgh First accommodation lies in the shadow of Arthur's Seat and is near to the Royal Mile and the Palace of Holyrood House. Breakfast is served between 07:30 and 10:00 in the self-service restaurant at John McIntyre Conference Centre in the centre of the campus, about 5 minutes' walk from each bedroom.

6 Caberfeidh- This family-run establishment is 5 minutes' walk from train and bus stations, and 2 minutes' walk from the High Street and restaurants. Hosts Wilma and Jim have run 6 Caberfeidh as a B&B for 18 years and have many return-customers and friends. Jim has a taxi for tours and local runs and can help with local knowledge and advice on where to go for day trips etc. The cosy Tourist Board-rated establishment has en suite rooms, and offers a choice of vegetarian, continental and full Scottish breakfast. There is also a nice four-poster room with a corner bath and a view over the loch.

Balmore Guest House- This small, family-run guest house is in the Tollcross area of the city, within easy reach of Edinburghs main attractions, including the castle, theatres and shops. Balmore Guest House offers good-value accommodation, with breakfast included. Behind the house is Union Canal, which boasts beautiful walks and waterside restaurants. The late Victorian house is fully refurbished to provide all modern comforts, including free Wi-Fi. Balmore has maintained many of its original features, including a wrought-iron staircase, chandeliers and ornate cornices.
