The Inverleith- Situated in one of Edinburgh's most desirable locations, opposite the Royal Botanic Gardens, this early-Victorian town house is also within easy reach of the city's renowned Princes Street. With all the peace and quiet of an out-of-town, semi-rural location, Rhins of Galloway is nevertheless within a short drive of the area's shops and eateries. Despite the style and stature of the building, the fact that there is no licensed bar or restaurant means that Rhins of Galloway is defined as a guest house rather than as a hotel. Cairnryan House- Set directly across from the shore of Loch Ryan, and boasting uninterrupted views, this licensed guest house is 500 metres from Cairnryan ferry terminal and 5 minutes from Stranraer terminal. Originally the Manse, the family-run Cairnryan House was built in 1894 and still retains many of its original features. All of the en suite rooms are non-smoking and furnished to a high standard, with plenty of features to ensure your comfort. Most of the rooms have views over Loch Ryan. Guests can sit in the beer garden with a drink, whilst watching the ferries go by. There is off-road parking for 10 cars. Unfortunately, children under 13 years cannot stay at Cairnryan House.
