The Harbour Lights - This guest house and restaurant offers affordable accommodation very close to the small sandy beach in the heart of Ilfracombe's Heritage Harbour, on the South West Coast Path. The Harbour Lights dates from 1895 and was purpose built as a small hotel at the height of Ilfracombe's Victorian heyday. Many of the original features remain, such as the central staircase with its antique mahogany banister and the sash windows. The guest house has a 60-seater, licensed restaurant on the ground floor. It specialises in Appledore fish and seafood, Exmoor lamb and beef and Ilfracombe lobster.

The Dartbridge Inn is opposite the River Dart and close to Totnes. The A38 is a main route between Exeter and Plymouth. The open fires and oak beams create a charming atmosphere in which to enjoy good food, wines and coffees. A recent refurbishment of the restaurant and bar has given the country inn a fresh look.

The Minadab Cottage - With spectacular views over Labrador Bay, this exclusive thatched cottage dates back to the 1820s and has 3 stylish, individually decorated rooms. Minadab Cottage in Teignmouth is a tranquil retreat and has been a coastal landmark for the past 200 years. The cottage is 9 miles (14.5 km) from Exeter, 6 miles (9.7 km) from Dartmoor and 5 miles (8 km) from Torquay and Newton Abbott. The original cottage was supposedly built in the shape of a boat, with rooms 'fore and aft' and a rope ladder joining the ground floor to the upper deck - now replaced with modern stairs! Today it has been transformed into a delightful B&B by its owners. Unfortunately, due to the rooms, Minadab Cottage is unable to accommodate very young children.

The Old School Guesthouse - This friendly guest house was built as a school house in 1875. It has been converted to comfortable, homely accommodation with beautiful original features. The building's historic structure has been carefully preserved, including the 130-year-old exposed wooden beams. The Old School Guesthouse is surrounded by Dartmoor National Park, and is a 10-minute drive from Tavistock. Plymouth and Plymouth Airport are 15 minutes away.
