Westbury House - This 3-star rated, Lakeland-stone, Victorian house is set in a quiet side street, approximately 5 minutes' walk from the train/bus station. Jo and Alan offer quality accommodation and excellent value for money. They are very happy to advise you on any walks and have maps to assist you. They can also book you on to tours and make dinner reservations for you at one of the many excellent restaurants in the surrounding area, or beyond. The house is situated opposite Ellerthwaite Park and is a gentle 20-minute walk from Lake Windermere itself.

Waverley Hotel - The Waverley Hotel, Workington, offers quality, exceptional value accommodation with a wide variety of room styles. The Waverley Hotel is situated in the historic coastal town of Workington, Cumbria. The Waverley Hotel is within easy walking distance of bus and rail terminals, local shops, theatres, parks, Workington speedway, rugby league and rugby union, Workington Reds football stadiums as well as other Workington central amenities. Nearby attractions include a variety of craft outlets and artisans producing beautiful gifts and momentos to remind you of your stay. We have 25 en suite bedrooms, 4 standard rooms and a selection of individually designed executive suites giving a maximum occupancy of 50 guests. All bedrooms contain the usual modern amenities with tea/coffee making facilities, colour tv, hair dryer, direct dial telephones, broadband internet access, luxury toiletries, tourist information, notepads etc. a separate ironing room is available, however executive suites include an ironing station, fresh flowers and complimentary welcome pack (wine, fresh fruit, still water and chocolates). Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.

Churchill Inn - Located in the centre of Ambleside, with private parking and all the amenities literally on your doorstep. Within the hotel there are two bars: the larger Popular bar and the more tranquil Monty's bar with an open fire etc. A traditional bar menu is served in the the main bar with a 10% discount for residents.

Crow How Country Guest House - In a stunning rural setting in the historic Rydal Valley amidst the fells, this grand Victorian building dates back to 1848. Crow How was built as a farm house in 1848 from the stones of ancient Rydal Hall. It was then converted into a country guest house in the early 1930s. Crow How has been carefully renovated to provide you with a well-located Ambleside bed and breakfast, ideal for exploring the the beautiful Lake District.

Firgarth Guest House - This elegant Victorian house, built in Lakeland stone around 1875, offers views to the rear over Wynlass Beck, along with comfortable en suite rooms, a residents' lounge and private parking. Firgarth Guest House is conveniently situated just 12 minutes' walk from the centre of Windermere, which offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The guest house has a great location, between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. It is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, situated in the number one location within the English Lake District National Park: Windermere. The guest lounge is comfortable, with plenty of books and information on local walks, as well as a selection of games to keep you amused in the evenings. The traditional breakfast menu is all freshly prepared. There is a choice of orange juice, grapefruit, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt and a variety of cooked-to-order breakfasts. The guest house is regretfully unable to accept any arrivals after 20:00.

Newstead House BandB - On the south-west edge of the Lake District, this small and beautiful B&B has 2 lovely rooms with excellent views. Stunning coastal scenery and peaceful Silecroft Beach are nearby. There many activities in the local area, including golf, watersports, horse riding and Muncaster Castle. Guests can share a lounge which has a TV, DVD player, Wii, games, books and a log fire on winter evenings. At Newstead House you can enjoy a breakfast with homemade jams; afternoon tea; and evening meals featuring fresh local produce.

Southview Guest House and Indoor Pool - Southview is a luxury bed and breakfast licensed guesthouse, with its own indoor heated swimming pool in the heart of Windermere. Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar - In the heart of the town of Windermere, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District, this attractive Victorian building is now a family-owned guest house and pub. Close to all that the town has to offer, the Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar has a good location, only a two-minute walk from Windermere Railway Station and just off the A591, which runs right through the Lake District. Lake Windermere is just 5 minutes away by car or only a 15-minute stroll from the front door. There is a large, free car park. A range of accommodation is available to suit the needs and budget of any traveller. Some rooms have en suite bathrooms and rooms with shared bathroom facilities are also available. Delicious food and real ales are served in both the restaurant and the Lamplighter Bar. Seafood is a speciality, with fresh fish delivered daily from Fleetwood.
