Lingmoor Guest Accommodation - This charming traditional Lakeland house offers comfortable accommodation in a great location, in the centre of the village of Windermere, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The superb location makes Lingmoor Guest Accommodation a great base from which to explore the stunning natural beauty and breathtaking scenery of the Lake District, which so inspired Wordsworth, Wainwright and Beatrix Potter. Windermere's train and coach station is just a 3-minute walk away and all of the town's pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance. This family-run house was built in 1854, by and for the local railway, which arrived in Windermere at that time. Today, the house still retains its beautiful original exterior, its slate roof and several other lovely period features. There are 5 comfortable, modern en suite rooms with showers, each of which is well-equipped with a colour television and tea/coffee making facilities.

Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

Strands Hotel - Strands Hotel/Inn was built in the eighteen hundreds. The building is nestling in the heart of Wasdale Valley, which has beautiful views of the surrounding fells. It is situated only a short walk from the Deepest Lake (Wastwater) in England, also the Highest Mountain (Scawfell) and the Smallest Church which is at Wasdale Head. Mark, Lesley and family have run this typical Lakeland Hotel since June 2006. Mark brews his own ales, our home cooked traditional food is very popular with visitors and locals.

Laurel House - Laurel House is a delightful 18th-century farmhouse in the quiet Cumbrian village of Culgaith, near Penrith. It is a Visit Britain 4-Star Gold-rated B&B with well-appointed rooms. Laurel House is 10 minutes from junction 40 of the M6 and ideally situated for exploring the Lake District, or as a stopover on the way to Scotland. An excellent breakfast featuring locally sourced produce with homemade bread and preserves will ensure a good start to the day.

Broadoaks Country House - With original open fires and luxurious surroundings to relax in, this magnificent country house and restaurant was built in 1836 is set in the Trout Beck Valley. Broadoaks Country House offers comfortable accommodation as well as fine dining in its Michelin recommended restaurant. 14 individually designed rooms with bespoke en suite facilities feature Victorian and Georgian styling alongside modern jacuzzis, spas, and whirlpool and sunken baths. All rooms are designed to create a relaxing atmosphere. Some have river views and others have views across to Lake Windermere. This is an AA 5-star rated guest house property.

Newstead House BandB - On the south-west edge of the Lake District, this small and beautiful B&B has 2 lovely rooms with excellent views. Stunning coastal scenery and peaceful Silecroft Beach are nearby. There many activities in the local area, including golf, watersports, horse riding and Muncaster Castle. Guests can share a lounge which has a TV, DVD player, Wii, games, books and a log fire on winter evenings. Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District, Newstead is just a 15-minute walk from Lake Windermere. Built in 1897 with traditional, local Lakeland stone, the house still boasts many beautiful original Victorian features including its splendid hall and staircase, marble fireplaces and mahogany woodwork. Bland, soulless, contemporary design has been avoided in the decoration of the house, in favour of the elegant styles of the Arts and Crafts, Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements, recalling the splendour of Victorian times.
