Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

Beech House - In a quiet location, only a few minutes' walk from Windermere's town centre, this small, charming guest house is traditionally built from authentic local stone. In the heart of the English Lake District, Beech House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a good location, within easy reach of all of Windermere's shops, cafes and restaurants. Blue Pig - In the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, this newly renovated 17th-century cottage offers comfortable, bright accommodation in 3 lovely en suite rooms. The cosy lounge with log-burning stove can be made available. A cooked English breakfast is included in the room rate. There are 3 car parking spaces for guests (150 yards/140 metres from Blue Pig). The cottage is conveniently located just off the A65, only a few miles from the M6 motorway. The peaceful, convenient location makes the Blue Pig ideal for exploring the town and countryside.

Keswick Lodge - In the heart of the Lake District, surrounded by the region's breathtaking scenery, this welcoming traditional pub offers tasty, home-cooked seasonal food, cask ales and cosy en suite accommodation. With stunning views of the surrounding hills, and numerous shops and inns on the doorstep, Keswick Lodge is located in the heart of the vibrant market town of Keswick, which is on the north lakeside of Derwentwater. This 18th-century former coaching inn has been refurbished in a modern style, but with the traditional original character carefully preserved. The lodge offers comfortable en suite accommodation and each room has an LCD flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The well-stocked bar offers a selection of wines, spirits, lagers and real ales from Thwaites Brewery. The menu features freshly prepared dishes, made with local produce and seasonal ingredients from Cumbria and the surrounding region. Firgarth Guest House - This elegant Victorian house, built in Lakeland stone around 1875, offers views to the rear over Wynlass Beck, along with comfortable en suite rooms, a residents' lounge and private parking. Firgarth Guest House is conveniently situated just 12 minutes' walk from the centre of Windermere, which offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants. The guest house has a great location, between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. It is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, situated in the number one location within the English Lake District National Park: Windermere. The guest lounge is comfortable, with plenty of books and information on local walks, as well as a selection of games to keep you amused in the evenings. The traditional breakfast menu is all freshly prepared. There is a choice of orange juice, grapefruit, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt and a variety of cooked-to-order breakfasts. The guest house is regretfully unable to accept any arrivals after 20:00.

Complete with ample car parking and disabled toilets, the inn features 4 cask-conditioned ales and an extensive list of beers and lagers. The extensive restaurant menu is complemented by a daily specials board with an emphasis on local, fresh produce. There are 5 en suite bedrooms, with tea and coffee facilities, a TV, and a shower and bath.

The Old Ginn House Inn - In the small village of Great Clifton, on the west coast of the Cumbrian Lake District, this charming inn was converted from a 17th-century farmstead and offers comfortable, characteristic accommodation. The Old Ginn House has a cosy lounge where you can relax with comfy sofas and chairs, television and a choice of books and magazines. For the warmer months, there is a patio in the courtyard. Meals are served in the Mediterranean-style dining areas, while the Ginn Room offers a well-stocked bar.
