Rothay Garth - The Rothay Garth is a traditional Lakeland guest house with beautiful gardens and superb mountain views in the heart of Ambleside village. The guest house has easy access to Lake Windermere and Ambleside, and there are plenty of Lake District walks very close by. Waverley Hotel - The Waverley Hotel, Workington, offers quality, exceptional value accommodation with a wide variety of room styles. The Waverley Hotel is within easy walking distance of bus and rail terminals, local shops, theatres, parks, Workington speedway, rugby league and rugby union, Workington Reds football stadiums as well as other Workington central amenities. Nearby attractions include a variety of craft outlets and artisans producing beautiful gifts and momentos to remind you of your stay. We have 25 en suite bedrooms, 4 standard rooms and a selection of individually designed executive suites giving a maximum occupancy of 50 guests. All bedrooms contain the usual modern amenities with tea/coffee making facilities, colour tv, hair dryer, direct dial telephones, broadband internet access, luxury toiletries, tourist information, notepads etc. a separate ironing room is available, however executive suites include an ironing station, fresh flowers and complimentary welcome pack (wine, fresh fruit, still water and chocolates). Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.

Strands Hotel - Strands Hotel/Inn was built in the eighteen hundreds. The building is nestling in the heart of Wasdale Valley, which has beautiful views of the surrounding fells. It is situated only a short walk from the Deepest Lake (Wastwater) in England, also the Highest Mountain (Scawfell) and the Smallest Church which is at Wasdale Head. Mark, Lesley and family have run this typical Lakeland Hotel since June 2006. Mark brews his own ales, our home cooked traditional food is very popular with visitors and locals.

Barnes Fell - With a 4-star Gold Award from Visit Britain, this charming B&B offers 3 beautiful en suite bedrooms in a peaceful setting, with views over the Lakeland Fells. The luxurious Barnes Fell is in an elevated position above the main village of Ambleside, yet just a couple of minutes' walk from its centre. Here you can find a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries, as well as a multi-screen cinema and other attractions. Barnes Fell is perfect for those looking for a relaxing rural retreat, or a base from which to enjoy walks in the Fells. Some room types at Barnes Fell require a 2-night minimum stay. All reservations over Christmas, New Year, Easter and Public Holidays require a 3-night minimum stay.

Applegarth Villa and JR's Restaurant - This family-owned and run hotel is set in a magnificent Victorian mansion house in a quiet street close to the heart of Windermere village. With a magnificent oak panelled lounge, bar and conservatory restaurant serving imaginative cuisine by our award- winning head chef, you will find the Applegarth is the perfect base for exploring the Lakes. Our wonderful location gives you the opportunity of stepping onto the lake land fells, boarding a steamer on Lake Windermere or visiting some of the many attractions the Lake District has to offer. Yet the hotel is only 20 minutes by car from the M6 and a very short walk from the main bus and rail services.

Churchill Inn - Located in the centre of Ambleside, with private parking and all the amenities literally on your doorstep. Within the hotel there are two bars: the larger Popular bar and the more tranquil Monty's bar with an open fire etc. A traditional bar menu is served in the the main bar with a 10% discount for residents.

Invergarry Guest House - In the heart of the beautiful Lake District, between Windermere and Bowness, this traditional Lakeland guest house offers a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and a hearty breakfast. The Invergarry Guest House has a great location, close to all that the area has to offer, including Lake Windermere and all of the shops, bars, restaurants and cinemas of both Windermere and Bowness. Small and friendly, the guest house has just 5 rooms, guaranteeing guests personalised service and a warm welcome. There are 4 rooms in the main house and a garden room in the courtyard. All of the rooms have en suite shower facilities, plenty of storage space, well-stocked hospitality trays, TVs, radio alarms and hairdryers. A full traditional cooked breakfast is included in the price and is freshly cooked to order. Free parking is available for guests. The Invergarry is open all year round, with special rates over the autumn and winter periods. There are local walks from the front door and Windermere golf course is just a short drive away.

Hazeldene Guest House - We are situated in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere and offer good quality, non-smoking accommodation suitable for a variety of guests. A choice of 5 double en suite rooms is available, 2 having four-poster beds and 2 with views towards Lake Windermere and the distant fells. All the rooms are centrally heated with a variety of facilities, including en suite showers and the opportunity to make yourself a tea, coffee or Fair Trade hot chocolate before settling down in front of a colour television. Free car parking is available on-site.

Stanley House - Stanley House is a Lake District B&B with en suite bedrooms with stunning views of the fells, gardens and rivers. Located in Eskdale, the B&B is ideal for walkers and is a few miles from Wastwater, England's deepest lake. The Ravenglass & Eskdale railway stops at Beckfoot, the local station. Each comfortable room comes with a TV, DVD player with DVD library, and free Wi-Fi. There are 2 ground-floor sitting rooms, one with a wood stove and sofas to laze on, the other with a TV and PlayStation for the children. Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the gardens and 2 rivers.

Crompton House - Crompton House is a warm and friendly Victorian guest house located midway between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. The guest house is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, with an excellent location in the English Lake District National Park, Windermere. The 7 guest rooms are non-smoking and each has an en suite bathroom. There is one four-poster room, one family room and 5 double rooms. A grilled full English breakfast is served in the dining room, as is a good choice of cereals, fruit and juice from the buffet table. Within easy walking distance there is a host of restaurants catering for all tastes and prices. There is also a cinema, nightclubs, pubs and shops. You can catch a steamer from the pier at Bowness for a memorable trip on the lake. This is a 3-star rated guest house.
