The Pilgrims Rest - The Pilgrims Rest is a sympathetically renovated, Grade II listed, late 16th-early 17th century building, now housing a bar and lounge area, a dining room and 6 en suite bedrooms. The Pilgrims rest has a rich and fascinating history. In the early 19th century, the building was home to a farrier, whose forge stood next door. As recently as the early 1900s, part of the building was a butcher's. Today, the property has been carefully restored and sensitively refurbished by your hosts, Gerard and Denise McNicholas. There are now 6 en suite rooms with all the comforts the modern traveller requires, including tea/coffee making facilities and flat-screen TVs with Freeview digital channels. Each room also has a work desk and ironing facilities. The Pilgrims Rest has a bar and lounge area and a dining room where breakfast is served or where an evening meal can be enjoyed. The Royal Albion - Looking out to sea over Broadstairs' Viking Bay, the Royal Albion has a magnificent location, on the seafront, yet also close to the heart of the town. The Royal Albion was originally built in 1760 and Charles Dickens was a regular visitor. The famous Bleak House, Dickens' home in Broadstairs, is within sight. The rear gardens lead out onto the town's seafront promenade, with direct access to the sandy beaches. All of the 21 rooms are en suite and each room has Sky TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has a view of the historic town or of the bay. Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in the entire hotel at an additional cost. The Millers Arms Inn - A delightful old pub close to the city centre and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stour remain alongside the pub.
