Invernairne - Invernairne has a great position overlooking the Moray Firth, and from the garden you can stroll down a path to the beach. This historic mansion has one of the best positions in Nairn, and many of its rooms overlook the sea. Try and spot dolphins, seals, yachts or a beautiful sunset. Invernairne has free Wi-Fi and excellent breakfasts are available. A baronial lounge bar is open until the early evening and hosts a log fire in cooler months.

Inchree Rooms and Chalets - Surrounded by mountain and lake scenery, this family-run holiday centre is in a magnificent part of the Western Highlands, midway between Ben Nevis and the Glencoe mountains. The centre is a 15-minute drive from the well-known walking areas at Ben Nevis and the Glencoe range. The popular town of Fort William is 7 miles (11 km) north of Inchree. Inchree is at the north end of Onich village. It is 500 metres from the Corran Ferry car terminal, which provides access to the beautiful Ardnamurchan and Morven peninsulas. Accommodation consists of chalets, and twin and family rooms in the lodge. Each private chalet can accommodate 2 to 4 people and has a kitchen, living room and shower room. Lodge rooms have a shower room and share a communal self-catering kitchen and common room.

Daviot Lodge - This award-wining luxury bed and breakfast accommodation is set in 80 acres of peaceful pasture land with stunning views down the River Nairn Valley to the Culloden Viaduct. Daviot Lodge is a proud winner of AA Guest Accommodation of the Year for Scotland/Northern Ireland 2006. From the lodge you can see Nairn on the horizon, yet it is just 10 minutes drive from Inverness city centre. This non-smoking accommodation has beautifully appointed rooms with king-size beds and en suite facilities. Delicious breakfasts are served in the spacious dining room where each guest party has their own well spaced table. Come and be spoiled. There are also beautiful public rooms, one of which has an open fire on chilly days. Glenavon House - A small bed and breakfast in the Highland village of Newtonmore, ideally located for walking, bird watching and exploring the beautiful countryside around the Cairngorms. An 18-hole golf course is within walking distance, and other local attractions and beauty spots are nearby. The attractive, Swiss-style house features comfortable, well-equipped rooms complete with en suite showers, hospitality trays and TVs. There is also a guest lounge with a selection of books, and a light and airy dining room.

The Pines Country Guest House - With an idyllic setting, surrounded by beautiful mature woodland populated with red squirrels, woodpeckers and rabbits, the guest house offers a friendly family atmosphere, Highland hospitality and tasty home-cooked food. The Pines Country Guest House offers cosy, comfortable en suite accommodation in a charming family-run house with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The guest house prides itself on its home-cooked food, using fresh local produce to create traditional meals and vegetarian food. Special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement. A continental breakfast or a generous full Scottish breakfast is included in the price and picnic lunches are available on request. The house is centrally heated throughout and there is a free car park for guests' use. The Pines Country Guest House is a non-smoking establishment. Unfortunately, the guest house is not suitable for disabled people, wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility.

The Ferry Inn - The last hotel on the A9, The Ferry Inn at Scrabster is newly renovated and has wonderful sea views. Just north of Thurso, Scrabster Harbour is the gateway to the Orkney Islands. The renowned restaurant, The Upperdeck, has a fantastic steakhouse and also specialises in locally caught seafood. The lively Popeye's is a public bar with a wide-screen TV showing sporting events. The en suite bedrooms have tea/coffee facilities and flat-screen TVs with Freeview channels.

6 Caberfeidh - This family-run establishment is 5 minutes' walk from train and bus stations, and 2 minutes' walk from the High Street and restaurants. Hosts Wilma and Jim have run 6 Caberfeidh as a B&B for 18 years and have many return-customers and friends. Jim has a taxi for tours and local runs and can help with local knowledge and advice on where to go for day trips etc. The cosy Tourist Board-rated establishment has en suite rooms, and offers a choice of vegetarian, continental and full Scottish breakfast. There is also a nice four-poster room with a corner bath and a view over the loch.

Arden House - Arden House is situated in Kingussie and is surrounded by the Cairngorm and Monadhliath mountains. Built in 1870 Arden House is a lovely example of a Scottish Victorian Villa, which retains many period features. Set is its own grounds the house offers a large garden which guests are welcome to use. All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are all decorated to a very high standard, for those cold winter nights we have a lovely open fire in our lounge for all to enjoy.

The Loch Leven Hotel - With a beautiful loch-side setting and dramatic views of the mountains, this family-run hotel offers free Wi-Fi and charming accommodation, great for a relaxing break or an activity holiday. In one of the most spectacular, naturally beautiful regions of Scotland, the Loch Leven Hotel is a traditional Scottish Highlands hotel near Glencoe, Ballachulish, Fort William and Ben Nevis. The hotel was originally established in the 17th century as a coaching inn and ferry terminal for the Ballachulish Ferry (when this was merely a small rowboat). Since taking over in December 1999, your hosts, Hilary and her partner John, have sympathetically modernised and completely refurbished the hotel. All of the comfortable and attractive en suite rooms are individually decorated. All rooms have TVs, telephones, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers. With spectacular views over the streams to the mountains beyond, the bar and restaurant offer home-cooked meals, made with superb local produce.
