Westbury House - This 3-star rated, Lakeland-stone, Victorian house is set in a quiet side street, approximately 5 minutes' walk from the train/bus station. Jo and Alan offer quality accommodation and excellent value for money. They are very happy to advise you on any walks and have maps to assist you. They can also book you on to tours and make dinner reservations for you at one of the many excellent restaurants in the surrounding area, or beyond. The house is situated opposite Ellerthwaite Park and is a gentle 20-minute walk from Lake Windermere itself.

Ellerbrook House - Ellerbrook House is small, family-run guest house in a quiet leafy street just a few minutes' walk from shops, cafes and restaurants, and a 15-minute walk from Lake Windermere. The staff pride themselves on high standards and quality, and provide a friendly, welcoming and comfortable environment for exploring the Lake District. Rooms are well-appointed and situated on 2 floors, with either en-suite or private facilities. All rooms are well equipped with an LCD TV/DVD and hospitality tray.

Laurel House is 10 minutes from junction 40 of the M6 and ideally situated for exploring the Lake District, or as a stopover on the way to Scotland. An excellent breakfast featuring locally sourced produce with homemade bread and preserves will ensure a good start to the day.

Laurel Cottage - Peacefully situated in Windermere, overlooking Queens Park, this guest house is a short stroll from the amenities in the village and about 20 minutes' walk from the Lake and Bowness. Laurel Cottage is convenient for Windermere rail and bus station and is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District. The guest house is set within a small Victorian house built of local stone in the 1890s. It has been modernised to offer up-to-date comforts, but has retained its original character. Laurel Cottage is run by the owners Alison and Wayne, who offer a warm and friendly welcome.

Broadoaks Country House - With original open fires and luxurious surroundings to relax in, this magnificent country house and restaurant was built in 1836 is set in the Trout Beck Valley. Broadoaks Country House offers comfortable accommodation as well as fine dining in its Michelin recommended restaurant. 14 individually designed rooms with bespoke en suite facilities feature Victorian and Georgian styling alongside modern jacuzzis, spas, and whirlpool and sunken baths. All rooms are designed to create a relaxing atmosphere. Some have river views and others have views across to Lake Windermere. This is an AA 5-star rated guest house property.
