The Old Ginn House Inn - In the small village of Great Clifton, on the west coast of the Cumbrian Lake District, this charming inn was converted from a 17th-century farmstead and offers comfortable, characteristic accommodation. The Old Ginn House has a cosy lounge where you can relax with comfy sofas and chairs, television and a choice of books and magazines. For the warmer months, there is a patio in the courtyard. Meals are served in the Mediterranean-style dining areas, while the Ginn Room offers a well-stocked bar. The Old Ginn House provides an ideal base for business guests, or for those visiting the unspoilt Western Lake District and the Solway Coast.

Briscoe Lodge - Briscoe Lodge is 1-minute walk from the centre of Windermere. The Victorian, stone guest house from 1891 has many original features, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Bowness and Lake Windermere are within walking distance, and the train and bus stations can be reached in 10 minutes. The modern rooms have a DVD player with free 24-hour DVD library. The non-smoking house is run on an environmentally friendly basis. Briscoe Lodge offers free, safe on-street parking and an on-site massage service.

Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar - In the heart of the town of Windermere, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District, this attractive Victorian building is now a family-owned guest house and pub. Close to all that the town has to offer, the Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar has a good location, only a two-minute walk from Windermere Railway Station and just off the A591, which runs right through the Lake District. Lake Windermere is just 5 minutes away by car or only a 15-minute stroll from the front door. There is a large, free car park. A range of accommodation is available to suit the needs and budget of any traveller. Some rooms have en suite bathrooms and rooms with shared bathroom facilities are also available. Delicious food and real ales are served in both the restaurant and the Lamplighter Bar. Seafood is a speciality, with fresh fish delivered daily from Fleetwood.

Mariner's Inn - Situated in the heart of Bowness, this cosy and traditional Lakeland inn is just 200 yards from Lake Windermere, England's largest lake. All rooms are en-suite with flat-screen TVs and DVD players. There is also an extensive DVD library for guests to use. All rooms have hairdryers and alarm clock radios, and laptops can be used in all rooms and public areas as the inn is Wi-Fi enabled. After a day shopping, sightseeing or walking why not relax in the welcoming traditional bar serving a range of Jennings award-winning, cask conditioned ales, brewed in the Lake District. The inn has been awarded the coveted 'Cask Mark' accreditation in recognition for the way they look after their beers. The Mariner's Inn is the only pub in Bowness to have been awarded this accreditation.

Strands Hotel - Strands Hotel/Inn was built in the eighteen hundreds. The building is nestling in the heart of Wasdale Valley, which has beautiful views of the surrounding fells. It is situated only a short walk from the Deepest Lake (Wastwater) in England, also the Highest Mountain (Scawfell) and the Smallest Church which is at Wasdale Head. Mark, Lesley and family have run this typical Lakeland Hotel since June 2006. Mark brews his own ales, our home cooked traditional food is very popular with visitors and locals.

Corner Beech House - An AA 4-star Bed and Breakfast, Corner Beech House is an elegant Edwardian building with striking sea views; perfect for exploring the Lake District. All of the comfortable en suite rooms have a widescreen TV and some of the rooms have stunning sea views of Morecambe Bay. There is a DVD library for guests and all rooms have comfortable sofas. The centre of Grange-over-Sands is a 5-minute walk away, with its many shops, pubs and restaurants. Golf courses are also close by. The Corner Beech House is just a short drive from Windermere, Kendal and Coniston in The Lake District.

Balcony House Guest House - Balcony house is a Victorian family-run bed and breakfast offering clean, quality accommodation at an affordable price. We are located on the north side of Kendal, a historical market town ever expanding and offering numerous shops pubs and restaurants. We offer 2 en suite double rooms and the balcony room with four-poster bed and private bathroom directly opposite the room. Breakfast and free use of a local hotel pool, gym and spa is included in the cost of your stay.

Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.
