Waverley Hotel - The Waverley Hotel, Workington, offers quality, exceptional value accommodation with a wide variety of room styles. The Waverley Hotel is situated in the historic coastal town of Workington, Cumbria. The Waverley Hotel is within easy walking distance of bus and rail terminals, local shops, theatres, parks, Workington speedway, rugby league and rugby union, Workington Reds football stadiums as well as other Workington central amenities. Nearby attractions include a variety of craft outlets and artisans producing beautiful gifts and momentos to remind you of your stay. We have 25 en suite bedrooms, 4 standard rooms and a selection of individually designed executive suites giving a maximum occupancy of 50 guests. All bedrooms contain the usual modern amenities with tea/coffee making facilities, colour tv, hair dryer, direct dial telephones, broadband internet access, luxury toiletries, tourist information, notepads etc. a separate ironing room is available, however executive suites include an ironing station, fresh flowers and complimentary welcome pack (wine, fresh fruit, still water and chocolates). Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.

Roa Island House - With the charm and elegance of Edwardian times, this impressive 19th-century building offers quality accommodation and outstanding sea views. With a unique location on Roa Island, the house is on the water's edge at Morecambe Bay. There is a garden with superb views of the Bay and Piel Island. Roa Island House offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere away from busy 21st-century life. All rooms are individually furnished, with flat-screen digital TV and hospitality tray. The en suite facilities are stunning. Enjoy breakfast in the dining room with striking sea views out towards Piel Island and Piel Castle. In summer, you can eat in the sun-drenched conservatory. There is a light lunch menu, and packed lunches can be made up for walkers and travellers. The evening menu caters for all, including vegetarians and younger guests. Facilities also include a very cosy TV lounge, complete with a log burner. An outstanding feature is the tower room, with spectacular views over Morecambe Bay.

Wheyrigg Hall Hotel - A splendid 3 diamond hotel on the Solway Plain close to the lakes, hills and Carlisle. Also close to the Scottish borders, Gretna Green and the Roman wall, river and badlands. Wheyrigg Hall is a family run hotel bar and restaurant set in a rural location. Originally an old farmhouse, the hotel has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation. There is ample car parking and there are two separate function rooms providing seating for fifty and one hundred people so the Wheyrigg Hall is an ideal venue for conferences, weddings or other family celebrations. There is also a spacious dining room, lounge and bar with a homely cottage atmosphere. Well known for its good food, not just locally, but much further afield in this country and abroad, Wheyriggs specialities include succulent duckling, traditional roasted turkey, baked ham in cider and local prime steaks. Home baking is a feature of our scrumptious sweet trolley and locally produced fresh vegetables are used whenever possible. Lunch, high tea and dinner are served daily in addition to our popular bar meals.

Blue Pig - In the beautiful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, this newly renovated 17th-century cottage offers comfortable, bright accommodation in 3 lovely en suite rooms. The cosy lounge with log-burning stove can be made available. A cooked English breakfast is included in the room rate. There are 3 car parking spaces for guests (150 yards/140 metres from Blue Pig). The cottage is conveniently located just off the A65, only a few miles from the M6 motorway. The peaceful, convenient location makes the Blue Pig ideal for exploring the town and countryside.

Jerichos at the Waverley (BB) - This restaurant with rooms now encompasses the renowned Jerichos Restaurant, highly rated in independent food guides, and a true culinary gem. Mentioned in Michelin, The Good Food Guide, Harden's and the AA Restaurant Guide, the contemporary dining room and lounge wonderfully complement this beautiful Victorian property, which is full of original features and character. Ideally situated on a quiet road close to the centre of Windermere Village, with its own large private car park, Jerichos at the Waverley offers you an ideal, relaxing place from which you can enjoy your break.

Strands Hotel - Strands Hotel/Inn was built in the eighteen hundreds. The building is nestling in the heart of Wasdale Valley, which has beautiful views of the surrounding fells. It is situated only a short walk from the Deepest Lake (Wastwater) in England, also the Highest Mountain (Scawfell) and the Smallest Church which is at Wasdale Head. Mark, Lesley and family have run this typical Lakeland Hotel since June 2006. Mark brews his own ales, our home cooked traditional food is very popular with visitors and locals.

Ellerbrook House - Ellerbrook House is small, family-run guest house in a quiet leafy street just a few minutes' walk from shops, cafes and restaurants, and a 15-minute walk from Lake Windermere. The staff pride themselves on high standards and quality, and provide a friendly, welcoming and comfortable environment for exploring the Lake District. Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar - In the heart of the town of Windermere, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Lake District, this attractive Victorian building is now a family-owned guest house and pub. Close to all that the town has to offer, the Oakthorpe and Lamplighter Bar has a good location, only a two-minute walk from Windermere Railway Station and just off the A591, which runs right through the Lake District. Lake Windermere is just 5 minutes away by car or only a 15-minute stroll from the front door. There is a large, free car park. A range of accommodation is available to suit the needs and budget of any traveller. Some rooms have en suite bathrooms and rooms with shared bathroom facilities are also available. Delicious food and real ales are served in both the restaurant and the Lamplighter Bar. Seafood is a speciality, with fresh fish delivered daily from Fleetwood.
