Stanley House - Stanley House is a Lake District B&B with en suite bedrooms with stunning views of the fells, gardens and rivers. Located in Eskdale, the B&B is ideal for walkers and is a few miles from Wastwater, England's deepest lake. The Ravenglass & Eskdale railway stops at Beckfoot, the local station. Each comfortable room comes with a TV, DVD player with DVD library, and free Wi-Fi. There are 2 ground-floor sitting rooms, one with a wood stove and sofas to laze on, the other with a TV and PlayStation for the children. Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the gardens and 2 rivers.

Strands Hotel - Strands Hotel/Inn was built in the eighteen hundreds. The building is nestling in the heart of Wasdale Valley, which has beautiful views of the surrounding fells. It is situated only a short walk from the Deepest Lake (Wastwater) in England, also the Highest Mountain (Scawfell) and the Smallest Church which is at Wasdale Head. Mark, Lesley and family have run this typical Lakeland Hotel since June 2006. Mark brews his own ales, our home cooked traditional food is very popular with visitors and locals.

Beaumont House - With a quiet, peaceful location, just metres from the heart of Windermere, this beautiful Victorian property offers 5-star guest accommodation, delicious cooked breakfasts and free Wi-Fi and parking. Family-run, Beaumont House prides itself on offering superb quality bed and breakfast accommodation, a warm welcome and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. All of the rooms have excellent beds, hairdryers, hospitality trays, toiletries and TVs with Freeview digital channels. With quality and comfort in evidence throughout, the breakfast offered at this lovely guest house includes fresh fruit salads, the best locally farmed produce and free-range eggs.

Lingmoor Guest Accommodation - This charming traditional Lakeland house offers comfortable accommodation in a great location, in the centre of the village of Windermere, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The superb location makes Lingmoor Guest Accommodation a great base from which to explore the stunning natural beauty and breathtaking scenery of the Lake District, which so inspired Wordsworth, Wainwright and Beatrix Potter. Windermere's train and coach station is just a 3-minute walk away and all of the town's pubs and restaurants are within easy walking distance. This family-run house was built in 1854, by and for the local railway, which arrived in Windermere at that time. Today, the house still retains its beautiful original exterior, its slate roof and several other lovely period features. There are 5 comfortable, modern en suite rooms with showers, each of which is well-equipped with a colour television and tea/coffee making facilities.

Rose Cottage - A relaxing retreat in the heart of the Lake District, this charming 16th century cottage is situated in the picturesque village of Bowness, one minute's walk from Lake Windermere. Just a short stroll away from Bowness's shops, caf?s, restaurants and attractions, Rose Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Please note that the cottage is bed and breakfast only, no additional meals can be provided. Still maintaining many of its original features, the house can be unsuitable for disabled guests or those who have trouble with stairs. Unfortunately no ground floor rooms are available. Parking is available at a nearby public car park. Permits are available from Rose Cottage. A refundable deposit of GBP 10 is required.

Broadlands Guest House - Set in the heart of the Lake District, this traditional Lakeland stone Victorian house is ideally located on a peaceful road just 2 minutes from the centre of Windermere village. The house has lovely views overlooking Ellethwaite Park and is ideally located for visits to Bowness on Windermere and the Lake. Many grades of walks can be started from the house the staff are happy to advise you on them and offer maps and guides to help. Locally organised tours can also be arranged for you, with collection and drop-off at the property. Although not a hotel, Broadlands Guest House is proud to have been awarded '3 AA Yellow Stars Highly Commended', in July 2009. This award is given to the top 10% of 3-star Guest Accommodation. Guests are offered free car park passes for use whilst staying at Broadlands. These can be used in all SLDC car parks in the area.

Crompton House - Crompton House is a warm and friendly Victorian guest house located midway between the busy villages of Windermere and Bowness. The guest house is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, with an excellent location in the English Lake District National Park, Windermere. The 7 guest rooms are non-smoking and each has an en suite bathroom. There is one four-poster room, one family room and 5 double rooms. A grilled full English breakfast is served in the dining room, as is a good choice of cereals, fruit and juice from the buffet table. Within easy walking distance there is a host of restaurants catering for all tastes and prices. There is also a cinema, nightclubs, pubs and shops. You can catch a steamer from the pier at Bowness for a memorable trip on the lake. This is a 3-star rated guest house.

Broadoaks Country House - With original open fires and luxurious surroundings to relax in, this magnificent country house and restaurant was built in 1836 is set in the Trout Beck Valley. Broadoaks Country House offers comfortable accommodation as well as fine dining in its Michelin recommended restaurant. 14 individually designed rooms with bespoke en suite facilities feature Victorian and Georgian styling alongside modern jacuzzis, spas, and whirlpool and sunken baths. All rooms are designed to create a relaxing atmosphere. Some have river views and others have views across to Lake Windermere. This is an AA 5-star rated guest house property.
