Southview Guest House and Indoor Pool - Southview is a luxury bed and breakfast licensed guesthouse, with its own indoor heated swimming pool in the heart of Windermere. Situated in quiet cul-de-sac position overlooking the town centre, Southview is only a 2 minute walk from various bars and restaurants. Braemount Guest House - With attractive gardens and the option of 4-poster beds, Braemount aims to offer that little extra. Halfway between Windermere and Bowness, within easy reach of the country's largest lake, this 19th-century house offers relaxed, peaceful charm. You will have access to the swimming pool, gym, sauna and jacuzzi at a local private leisure club just a 5-minute drive away. Sparkling wine, champagne and flower arrangements can be added to your room as a delightful finishing touch. Built in 1879, this one-time doctor's house and surgery keeps its extra-wide doorways and authentic Victorian tiled hallway. Small changes have been made to the building to add comfort, but to keep character.

Hazeldene Guest House - We are situated in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere and offer good quality, non-smoking accommodation suitable for a variety of guests. A choice of 5 double en suite rooms is available, 2 having four-poster beds and 2 with views towards Lake Windermere and the distant fells. All the rooms are centrally heated with a variety of facilities, including en suite showers and the opportunity to make yourself a tea, coffee or Fair Trade hot chocolate before settling down in front of a colour television. Free car parking is available on-site.

Stanley House - Stanley House is a Lake District B&B with en suite bedrooms with stunning views of the fells, gardens and rivers. Located in Eskdale, the B&B is ideal for walkers and is a few miles from Wastwater, England's deepest lake. The Ravenglass & Eskdale railway stops at Beckfoot, the local station. Each comfortable room comes with a TV, DVD player with DVD library, and free Wi-Fi. There are 2 ground-floor sitting rooms, one with a wood stove and sofas to laze on, the other with a TV and PlayStation for the children. Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the gardens and 2 rivers.

Churchill Inn - Located in the centre of Ambleside, with private parking and all the amenities literally on your doorstep. Within the hotel there are two bars: the larger Popular bar and the more tranquil Monty's bar with an open fire etc. A traditional bar menu is served in the the main bar with a 10% discount for residents.

Ambleside Central - In the beautiful English Lake District, in the heart of the town, Ambleside Central offers great-value, room-only guest accommodation in stylish, modern and spacious rooms Carefully preserved and sensitively refurbished, this beautiful Victorian building still retains many of its original features. The newly renovated rooms are light and airy, with a contemporary style and modern comforts, including crisp white bed linen, comfortable beds, fresh towels, hairdryers and TVs. Irons are available on request. All rooms have either an en suite shower or a private bathroom. The accommodation is family-friendly and several rooms can be used as double, twin room or family rooms, sleeping up to four people. Hot drinks, including filter coffees, teas and hot chocolate are available 24 hours and there is an on-site Italian restaurant. Ambleside Central is just around the corner from the town's main bus stop and limited secure parking is available at an additional cost.

Station Inn - Previously a farmhouse and a coaching inn, this inn has a beautiful rural setting with attractive views, as well as a large beer garden and an outdoor adventure playground. Complete with ample car parking and disabled toilets, the inn features 4 cask-conditioned ales and an extensive list of beers and lagers. The extensive restaurant menu is complemented by a daily specials board with an emphasis on local, fresh produce. There are 5 en suite bedrooms, with tea and coffee facilities, a TV, and a shower and bath.

Barnes Fell - With a 4-star Gold Award from Visit Britain, this charming B&B offers 3 beautiful en suite bedrooms in a peaceful setting, with views over the Lakeland Fells. The luxurious Barnes Fell is in an elevated position above the main village of Ambleside, yet just a couple of minutes' walk from its centre. Here you can find a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries, as well as a multi-screen cinema and other attractions. Barnes Fell is perfect for those looking for a relaxing rural retreat, or a base from which to enjoy walks in the Fells. Some room types at Barnes Fell require a 2-night minimum stay. All reservations over Christmas, New Year, Easter and Public Holidays require a 3-night minimum stay.

Laurel Cottage - Peacefully situated in Windermere, overlooking Queens Park, this guest house is a short stroll from the amenities in the village and about 20 minutes' walk from the Lake and Bowness. Laurel Cottage is convenient for Windermere rail and bus station and is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District. The guest house is set within a small Victorian house built of local stone in the 1890s. It has been modernised to offer up-to-date comforts, but has retained its original character. Laurel Cottage is run by the owners Alison and Wayne, who offer a warm and friendly welcome.

The Log House - In the heart of the English Lake District, this historic Norwegian log cabin is now a restaurant and bar with 3 comfortable en suite rooms, all with LCD flat-screen TVs, DVD players and free Wi-Fi. The stylish and contemporary restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy superb food, made with delicious, fresh seasonal produce from the region. There are 3 double rooms above the restaurant. Two still have the original log beams and the third has stunning views over the fells. Each has an en suite shower room, hairdryer, tea/coffee, and luxurious bathroom products from the White Company. In the town of Ambleside, at the head of Windermere, the Log House was originally brought to the Lake District by local artist Alfred Heaton Cooper nearly 100 years ago. Cooper used the cabin as a home and studio, but today it is a 4-star restaurant with rooms.
